Abstract

A 58 year-old female Patient was admitted because of painless mass in the left
hypo-chondriac region. The diagnostic splenectomy was performed and the spleen
revealed the nodular type of poorly differentiated Iymphocytic Iymphoma. About two
years after splenectomy, she was readmitted due to ensuing autoimmune hemolytic
anemia, of which she died.
We experienced a case which was diagnosed as primary malignant lymphoma of the
spleen at splenectomy, and which was complicated with Coombs' positive hemolytic
anemia.
